The average sales price of a Baltimore County home sale last month was $274,732 up 11.92% from October, and 10.46% from the same time last year as Baltimore County Real Estate continues its rise as we get ready to close out 2013. 531 homes were wold in Baltimore County last month, down 6.2% from the same time last year, while the number of active Baltimore County homes for sale went up 4.87%. Less buyers were on the market, possibly due to the increase in interest rates from the same time last year. Remember, as interest rates increase a buyers purchasing power decreases!
445 new homes went under contract throughout the Baltimore County Real Estate market, up 5.2% from November 2012, but down 9.2% from October as buyers huddle in for the holiday season. The number of active listings, 2,759, is up almost 5% from last year, while the number of new listings taken in November is up over 23% from November 2012. More listings being taken, with less of them going under contract may soon turn this Batlimore County Real Estate market from a sellers market back into a buyers market!
